Julnelle's Story

Born and raised in the smallest state, Rhode Island, Julnelle always had big dreams. Her first one, become a hairdresser. At the age of 10 she learned how to braid and the rest is history. 
With over 15 years of experience in protective hairstyling and a passion for making women feel good she decided to step out on faith and start Pretty & Powerful. What started as a hair and healing workshop quickly turned into appointments and training sessions. 
A mom of four, she devotes any free time to continuing her education and building her skills in hair care and personal development. She enjoys finding creative ways to bridge the gap between beauty, business, and self esteem. 
She uses her skills to uplift and encourage women by providing protective hairstyles, trainings and workshops that help women feel and look good.
her next big dream coming soon, Beauty Break, a beauty outreach ministry that focuses on women transitioning from homelessness, rehabilitation, and domestic violence.
